The Truth About Baptism

in Baptism, Videos

In this clip I continue a discussion about baptism raised by a live caller. She had expressed her desire to study the biblical doctrine of baptism because what she was reading didn’t match what her preacher was telling her.

Try as they might, denominationalists just can get around this clear biblical doctrine.

Well , it seems Norm you are continuing again on your fine website WWW. BIBLEQNA.COM “Where you ask the questions , and …. well … Norm twist the Bible for it to fit as he pleases in a man made doctrine which has only been around a little over a century.” ok ok ….. that is not a fair statement , but its true. Baptism never has , never will , never could , never can wash away sin. I love how the Church of Christ will dispute it with Acts 2:38 1 Peter 3:18-21 , Mark 16:16 , Acts 22:16 , …. etc …. when a little further reading on their part would reveal the very dangerous falseness in such a teaching. I suppose the new hymn should be “What can wash away my sin … nothing but the water of the baptistry. What can make me whole again nothing but the water of the baptistry.” I am only saying that you guys put more emphasis on a plan as opposed to THE MAN and its a dangerous teaching to get involved with. I can find no single scripture with deeper reading that points to “Baptismal Regeneration” however , I can find over and over where faith is the substance of remission and NOT filthy works.

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
Romans 3: 28(NKJV)

But to one who, not working [by the Law], trusts (believes fully) in Him Who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to him as righteousness (the standing acceptable to God). Romans 4: 5

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. Galatians 2: 16(NKJV)

Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10: 38(NKJV)

For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. Galatians 3: 26

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2: 8(NKJV)

It is faith which is saved examine Acts 10:44 , man on the cross ( I have heard the man on the cross could tak place due to Christ being present physically … so is Christ not that strong when he is not present physically? … HA) faith is the issue here. You cannot AND NEVER will be able to do a work for your salvation … so you know why? because JESUS did all the work.

—– Anyone interested please contact me via E-mail Memusicn @ Aol.com and I will be happy to discuss this issue and even break down the TRUTH of Acts 2:38 , Mark 16:16 , Acts 22:16 , 1 Peter 3:18-21 …. becasue it is most certainly not taking place on this website.

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many FALSE prophets are gone out into the world.

Kyle,

Do you agree that salvation is in Christ? (2 Timothy 2:10).

Can you show one single Bible passage saying anything other than baptism puts one into Christ?

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:” (Romans 6:3-5 KJV)

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:26-27 KJV)
These are the only passages I can find that explicitly state what action actually puts one into Christ. Both say “baptized into (Jesus) Christ.”

Show me another one!

If the Bible clearly states that baptism puts one into Christ why will you continue to argue against the necessity of baptism?

Can you be saved outside of Christ?

What does the Bible say puts one “into Christ”?

If you can’t be saved outside of Christ then doesn’t that mean the action required to be put into Christ is a necessity for salvation?

Concordance Search for “Into Christ” and “Into Jesus”

Try the search for yourself and tell me what you find!
